Plant Papers and Root Sections

I have been working with Paula Pongrac at the James Hutton Institute a plant scientist with a special interest in Brassica roots and how zinc interacts with phosphorous in the root system. She has lots of great images on her laptop and has been very generously sharing them with me. We grew lots of little turnip plants in hydroponics and dried their fragile roots, I was hoping to print from them but think they may be too fine?

The plan is to make paper from Maize stalks and leaves and then print plant images onto the paper, both drawings of the plant and microscopic sections made by Paula and etched on zinc plates.maize-being-prepared-for-boiling
